As a photographer occasionally I’ll get a random call from other photographers (mostly from Patrick…) to come hang out/help them scout/talk shop. This shoot started out that way, we went downtown to scout a hotel and do a photo challenge (that we abandoned midway). Pat told me that he was meeting up with one of the girls he’d worked with before + her band and asked if I wanted to stick around.
Do I want to hang out with a beautiful group a of girls? And take pictures of them?! UMMMMMM uhyes, yes I do.
I had already seen his shots of Katherine and may or may not have falling slightly in love, I knew this was going to be a good day.
We started shooting just before golden hour and the lighting was fantastic. Unfortunately due to the location we were working in, there were several less than favorable characters in the area making cat calls and the like. Most of the time if I wasn’t running interference for Pat, I was holding mirrors/bag wrangling. I know this sounds like crappy job but I’ve definitely put Patrick through worse and if we’re keeping score I’m pretty sure I’m still in debt to him…

It didn’t matter what we were doing, these girls were ALWAYS on (in a good way). I tried to grab a few candids but it’s hard when you’ve got girls who are this good at spotting a camera and posing.
